The journey of a UCAN ROBOT machine concludes with a gatekeeper that allows no compromises: our Final Quality Control (FQC) department. Before any CNC machining center, spindle, or intelligent automation unit is deemed ready for shipment, it must survive a battery of exhaustive tests designed to validate its performance, accuracy, and reliability under real-world conditions.
Beyond Dimensional Checks: Performance Validation
While earlier stages focus on component dimensions, FQC is about system integration and functional performance. For equipment destined for the PCB, semiconductor, and automotive industries, mere dimensional accuracy is not enough; the machine must demonstrate dynamic stability.
The UCAN ROBOT FQC Test Bench:
- Geometric Accuracy Verification: Using laser interferometers and ballbar systems, we measure the machine’s positioning accuracy, repeatability, and squareness across its entire travel range. We ensure our machines consistently achieve the advertised 0.001mm precision.
- Spindle Dynamic Testing: As a core competency, our spindles undergo high-speed run-out tests, vibration analysis, and thermal growth monitoring. We simulate hours of high-speed operation to ensure thermal stability and minimal vibration, critical for surface finish quality.
- Cutting Trials & Surface Finish Analysis: Every machine performs actual cutting trials on standard test pieces. We analyze the surface finish (Ra values) and dimensional consistency of the machined parts. For our PCB micro-drill processing machines, we verify hole quality and drilling speed against industry benchmarks.
- Safety & Electrical Compliance: Our FQC team conducts thorough checks on electrical safety, emergency stop functions, and interlock systems, ensuring compliance with CE and other international safety standards.
- Aesthetic & Packaging Readiness: Finally, the machine’s exterior finish, labeling, and protective packaging are inspected to ensure the product arrives at the customer’s site in pristine condition.
The “Zero-Defect” Mindset
Influenced by our parent company DTECH’s reputation as a global leader in PCB tools, UCAN ROBOT’s FQC operates with a “zero-defect” mindset. If a machine fails even one parameter of the FQC checklist, it is immediately routed to our rework station. It is not released until it passes 100% of the criteria.
Certification & Documentation
Upon successful completion of FQC, each machine is issued a Final Inspection Report and a Certificate of Conformity. These documents, along with the complete data log from the testing phase, are packaged with the machine, providing our global customers with transparent proof of quality.
At UCAN ROBOT, FQC is not just a final step; it is our promise to deliver world-class intelligent equipment that empowers our customers’ manufacturing success.
